A channel manager is a tool that connects and synchronizes, in real time, your hotel's availability, rates, and restrictions across every sales channel: OTAs, booking engine, GDS, and agencies. When a room sells on one channel, inventory updates automatically across all the others.

The flow of information is clear: the PMS is the source of truth for inventory and rates; the channel manager takes that data and distributes and keeps it in sync with the OTAs and other channels; and when a booking comes in on any OTA, the channel manager pushes it back to the PMS and deducts inventory across all channels at once. In short: PMS → channel manager → OTAs, and back again.

Its core value is preventing oversell and overbooking, removing the manual work of updating each platform separately, and letting you distribute inventory across many channels without losing control of rate parity.
