1. Applicability
This Notice applies only when WeSpeak is the data controller (for example: personal data of visitors to the WeSpeak website and contact details between Subscribers and End Users). WeSpeak is a data processor, not a data controller, for the personal data we process on behalf of our Subscribers when they use WeSpeak products and services. For clarity, this means that this Notice does not apply to where WeSpeak processes personal data as a processor in its products and services. If you have any questions regarding how WeSpeak Subscribers use your personal data, please contact them directly. We are not responsible for the privacy or data security practices of our Subscribers. This Notice also does not apply to personal data about current or former WeSpeak employees, job applicants, or contractors, or their representatives performing similar roles.
This Notice applies only to personal data that WeSpeak processes as a Data Controller (i.e., when WeSpeak controls how and why your personal data is processed). This includes when you:

Visit or interact with the WeSpeak.pro Site, WeSpeak mobile applications, the WeSpeak marketplace, the WeSpeak developer portal, our brand's social media pages, and other Sites we operate (collectively, our “Digital Properties”).

6. Safety and retention
WeSpeak is committed to maintaining appropriate security procedures, in line with commercial practices, and technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss, disclosure, alteration, or use.
Your personal data will be retained, as far as possible, only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which we collected it. Once you or your company have terminated the contractual relationship with us or have otherwise ended your relationship with us, we may retain your personal data in our systems and records to ensure proper compliance with provisions that remain in effect in terminated contracts, or for other legitimate business purposes, such as to document our business practices and contractual obligations, to provide you with information about our products and services, or to comply with applicable legal, tax, or accounting requirements. When we have no legitimate business need or legal basis to process your personal data, we will delete, anonymize, or aggregate it, or, if this is not possible (for example, because your personal data has been stored in backup files), we will securely store your personal data and isolate it from any further processing until it is possible to delete it. WeSpeak uses servers in various strategic locations to optimize the provision of its services, which means that by accepting the Terms and Conditions, the Legal Notice, and/or the Privacy Policy, you authorize WeSpeak to transfer such information offshore (to another jurisdiction). WeSpeak is committed to maintaining normal standards of business practices.
