Starting October 1, 2026, Meta charges for every message your assistant sends through the WhatsApp API (see costs). We've launched two tools so that change doesn't cost you sales: Chat Web, to serve visitors to your website without going through WhatsApp, and Reduced response mode, so your assistant sells just as much on WhatsApp using fewer messages.

Chat Web: your assistant, on your hotel's website

Chat Web is a chat bubble on your hotel's website, answered by the same AI assistant that handles your other channels, with the same knowledge. The conversation lands in your inbox alongside everything else, and your team can step in whenever needed.

  • No Meta charges: Chat Web conversations don't go through WhatsApp.
  • Quotes on cards: one per room, with a photo, a price, and the More info and I'm interested buttons. It also sends photos in a gallery, shares the hotel's location, and passes along your booking engine link.
  • Answers 24/7, in the visitor's language, while they keep browsing your website: if they close the panel, the conversation is still there.
  • Captures the contact: you choose whether the visitor leaves their email or phone number when they start, or only once the assistant hands the conversation off to your team.
  • Matches your brand: assistant image, color, bubble position, and greeting in Spanish, English, and Portuguese.
  • Installed just once: you copy a code from Channels and paste it into your website or into Google Tag Manager. Design changes apply on their own, without touching the code again.

It's available to every account, at no extra cost.

Reduced response mode: the same sale, with fewer messages

A quote for three rooms with four photos each could go out as sixteen messages. With Reduced response mode, it goes out as two. The assistant doesn't reply more briefly or leave information out: it merges into one message what used to go out as several.

Once it's on, your assistant on WhatsApp:

  • Goes straight to the price: if it already knows the dates and how many people are coming, it quotes in that same reply.
  • Quotes on cards: one per room, with its photo, its price, and buttons to move forward, all in one message.
  • Sends the photos as a single image, with the name of what's shown written inside the photo.

It only changes what goes out over WhatsApp connected via API, the channel Meta charges for. Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Chat Web, and WhatsApp over QR stay exactly as you've configured them. You turn it on with a switch in Knowledge → Assistant Configuration, and turning it off leaves everything as it was.

ℹ️ We're enabling Reduced response mode account by account. If you don't see the option in your panel, ask your advisor for it.

Who benefits most

  • Hotels with a lot of website traffic that currently send every inquiry to WhatsApp or to a form.
  • Hotels with a high volume of WhatsApp API conversations, where every message saved shows up on the Meta bill.
  • Teams that want guests to receive a better-presented quote: cards with a photo and a price instead of a long text and a burst of photos.
