Two pieces of news this week, one about WeSpeak and one from the market that deserves attention.
WeSpeak in Chile: Start-Up Chile, Growth program
I have news that makes me very proud. WeSpeak was selected by Start-Up Chile for its Growth program, one of the most renowned acceleration programs in Latin America.
This means we're going to establish a presence in Chile, work with the Chilean entrepreneurial ecosystem, and accelerate our expansion in the region.
For hoteliers in Chile: we're already on our way. If you want to be among the first to implement WeSpeak in your hotel, get in touch.
Expedia turns Reels into bookable itineraries
Expedia announced a feature that perfectly captures where the industry is heading: Instagram Reels transformed into bookable travel itineraries.
The traveler sees a video on Instagram of a destination they like, clicks, and Expedia automatically builds them an itinerary with flights, hotels, and activities based on what they saw in the video.
What does this mean for hotels?
- Content on social media is no longer just branding. It's distribution.
- Hotels without a presence on Instagram are missing out on a booking source that's growing.
- The friction between inspiration and booking is disappearing. You have to be where the traveler gets inspired.
