The hotel
B&B Concha is a bed & breakfast in Becerril de la Sierra, in the heart of the Sierra de Guadarrama, about forty kilometers from Madrid and ten from the Puerto de Navacerrada ski station.
Six rooms with views of the mountains and the pool, plus a garden, a barbecue area and a lounge with a library. Breakfast is the house signature: bread and cakes baked by Emilio the night before, cheeses, ham, freshly squeezed juice.
Emilio Moreno runs the house together with Concha. It is a small, deeply personal operation: the same person who bakes the bread and welcomes guests is the one answering WhatsApp.
The challenge
Emilio was looking for a solution that would let him serve his guests immediately without losing the warmth and personal touch that distinguishes B&B Concha.
A six-room house has no front desk and no shifts. The phone stays in his pocket while breakfast is being prepared, the garden tended or a new arrival welcomed, so inquiries piled up at exactly the worst moments of the day.
Most messages repeat themselves: how to get there from Madrid, whether a car is needed, whether the pool is open on those dates, whether breakfast has vegan options, whether children are welcome. Easy questions that still eat the whole morning. And the risk of handing them to a bot was obvious: a cold reply would ruin the very thing that makes people choose this house over a hotel.
The WeSpeak solution
WeSpeak gave him exactly that: automation with soul. The assistant answers instantly, at any hour, with the house's specific information and in the same tone Emilio and Concha welcome people with.
It was loaded with what guests actually ask: how to get there from Madrid and from Barajas, the distance to Navacerrada, the pool season, the homemade breakfast and its options, the policy on children and pets, availability by date.
Anything that calls for a decision —a long stay, a group that wants the whole house, a special request— still goes through Emilio, but with the conversation already on track.
Results
Today his inquiries are answered instantly and his team can focus on what matters most: breakfast, the house and the people already inside it.
WhatsApp stopped interrupting the morning. Emilio no longer has to choose between taking the bread out of the oven and replying to someone asking whether there is room for the weekend.
What did not change is exactly what Emilio wanted to protect: guests still arrive feeling they talked to the house, not to a system.
What I did not want was for it to sound like a machine. It answers instantly and in our tone: guests arrive thinking they spoke with the house.
