If your business handles several properties, brands, or support lines, you can connect all the channels of the same type you need: several Facebook pages, several Instagram accounts, several WhatsApp API numbers, and several email inboxes, coexisting in a single WeSpeak account. In Channels, the Connect button stays available even if you already have one of that type connected — repeat the flow for each additional page, account, or number.
💡 If, when trying to add a second channel of the same type, you don't see the option to connect it, ask your WeSpeak advisor to enable the multichannel feature on your account. Connecting the same channel twice (the same page, account, or number) is blocked to avoid duplicates.
ℹ️ Important: the assistant responds the same across all channels — same knowledge and same behavior. Having several numbers or pages helps to organize where each conversation comes in from, not to make the assistant behave differently per property. (Each property's information is set up in Knowledge.)
Give each channel a name
Seeing all your channels as "Facebook" or as a long number gets confusing. That's why you can rename them:
- Go to Channels.
- Click the pencil ✏️ next to the channel (Edit channel name).
- Type the name you want (for example "Hotel A", "Front desk", or "Reservations") and click Save name.
That name is used throughout the platform: in the channel list, in the conversation filter, in the campaign selector, and in the chat. If you don't give it a name, it keeps showing the usual identifier (the Facebook page name, the Instagram username, the WhatsApp number, or the email inbox).
💡 On WhatsApp API with two or more numbers, you can mark one as Default ⭐ (the Make default option; the channel shows the Default badge). For now it's a visual reference for your team: in campaigns, templates, and adding contacts you still choose the number explicitly on each send.
Each conversation, through its correct channel
- The assistant and your team always reply through the correct channel: if a customer writes to page B, the reply goes out through page B.
- In the chat, below the contact's name, you see which channel that conversation belongs to — so you always know where you're speaking from.
Filter by specific channel
In the conversation filter (in Chats and in the Funnel), each channel appears as its own option, with its name. You can see, for example, only the conversations from one specific WhatsApp number, without mixing them with the rest.
Campaigns and adding contacts
When you send a campaign or add contacts and you have more than one channel of the same type, the system asks you to choose which one to send from. If you have just one, it takes it automatically.
💡 Tip: name your channels before creating campaigns — choosing "Reservations" is much clearer than choosing between two similar numbers.
Frequently asked questions
Can messages get mixed up between channels?
No. Each conversation is tied to its channel from the first message, and everything (replies, filters, campaigns) respects that separation.
Which channels does it apply to?
To Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp API. The Email channel works with one connected inbox.
I have several properties, does the assistant respond differently on each number?
No — it responds with the same knowledge on all of them. What changes per property is the information you load into Knowledge (each hotel with its own profile), not the channel the message comes in through.
