WeSpeak Engine (native integration)

WeSpeak's native booking engine: load your rooms, prices, and inventory by hand and sell over chat without needing any external system.

Last updated: July 6, 2026

WeSpeak Engine is WeSpeak's native engine: you don't need any external system (no Channel Manager, no PMS). You load everything into WeSpeak — rooms, prices, and inventory — and the assistant quotes and sells over chat with that information.

💡 It's the only connection where you can edit the inventory directly from WeSpeak. Ideal if your property doesn't have a prior system or you want to manage everything from a single place.

How it's set up

  1. Create your rooms in Rates (the New room button), with maximum capacities of adults, children, and people, and their descriptions.
  2. Configure the ages on the Integration screen (infant/child ranges, whether the infant takes up a spot).
  3. Create your rates with New Rate and load the prices — just like in any Rates connection, with policies, taxes, and restrictions per rate.
  4. Load the available inventory (how many units of each room are for sale by date) from the Calendar.
  5. Activate WeSpeak Payments — it's mandatory with Engine: it's what registers the booking and deducts the inventory.

How the inventory is managed day to day

  • From the Calendar: you edit the price and the number of rooms available by date directly on each day.
  • With the Bulk Editor (the Bulk Editor button in the Calendar): you apply changes to a full date range. It has three tabs — Availability, Rates, or Both — and lets you adjust by room type: number of Available Rooms, availability status (Stop Sell, Closed to Arrival (CTA), Closed to Departure (CTD)), minimum/maximum nights, and prices (including the per-occupancy setup). The fields you leave empty are not modified.
  • Automatic deduction: when a booking is confirmed, the inventory updates by itself, deducting the rooms sold. You can also deduct units manually (for example, if you sold through another channel).

How the sale works

  1. The guest queries over chat and the assistant quotes with your prices and inventory.
  2. The guest pays with the payment link (WeSpeak Payments).
  3. The booking is registered in the Bookings section and the inventory is deducted automatically.

What you can do from WeSpeak

ActionAvailable?
Edit prices
Edit inventory✅ (the only connection that allows it)
Derived rates (Last Minute, Early Booking…)
Payment and cancellation policies per rate
Restrictions (minimum stay, lead time, countries…)

Things to keep in mind

  • WeSpeak Payments is mandatory: without it, the booking is neither registered nor is the inventory deducted.
  • If you also sell through other channels (Booking, your website), the Engine inventory does not sync with them — you decide how many units you put up for sale over chat.

Frequently asked questions

Does it work for a chain with several properties?
Yes — each property loads its rooms, prices, and inventory, and configures its own booking page and payment methods in Payments.

Where do I see the bookings?
In the Bookings section, with the payment and booking status.

How do I block dates (holidays, maintenance, season close)?
From the Calendar's Bulk Editor: select the date range and apply Stop Sell (cuts off the sale) or set the inventory to 0. You can also block only arrivals or departures with Closed to Arrival (CTA) / Closed to Departure (CTD).

What happens when a date's inventory runs out?
The assistant stops offering that room for those dates automatically — you don't have to do anything.

Can I test my prices before activating the rates?
Yes — on the Rates Tests screen, with the "Include draft rates" option, you simulate the query and see the final price (taxes and policies included) without the rate being up for sale.
